Here at Automaxx we offer 3 different sizing small wind turbines (400W, 600W and 1,500W). When deciding which wind turbine, selecting the appropriate turbine size and capacity to meet your specific energy needs and location conditions. Here are the steps to help you determine the right size for your small wind turbine:

Determine Your Energy Needs

Start by calculating your average monthly and annual electricity consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh). This information will give you a clear understanding of how much energy you need to generate with your wind turbine.

Should your electricity requirements be more than what 1 wind turbine can provide, with Automaxx wind turbines can be connected together to increase the amount of electricity provided. Automaxx wind turbines can also work with a hybrid system so that it can work in conjunction with your existing solar panels.

Assess Wind Resource

Evaluate the wind resource at your location. Obtain historical wind data or use online wind resource maps to determine the average wind speed and wind direction throughout the year. Wind speed is a critical factor in sizing a wind turbine, as it directly impacts its power production. More wind more electricity can be produced.

Select a Turbine Class

Automaxx wind turbines are an off-grid or hybrid system, considering the capacity of the battery storage system. Ensure that it can store surplus energy generated during windy periods for use when the wind is calm.
